Remote Input Unit
The Halytech Remote Input Module (RIM) expands Spider input capacity for utility meter monitoring. It’s ideal for residential, commercial and industrial metering where many pulse meters need to be monitored from a central Spider.

Expands pulse inputs for Spider via RS-485 bus
Connects up to 16 pulse meters (with tamper detection) or 32 without tamper detection per RIM
Battery backup to protect data during power loss
Scalable - single Spider can connect up to 10 RIMs (up to 320 inputs)
Important Information
Uses RS-485 communications. Requires correct bus wiring and termination.
Tamper detection requires compatible pulse sensors and wiring.
One Spider supports up to 10 RIMs; plan addressing and wiring accordingly.
